EFB Biomass Power Plant Boiler Types
The major biomass byproduct from the palm oil industry is empty fruit bunch. A palm oil plantation yields huge amount of biomass wastes in the form of empty fruit bunches (EFB). EFB can be considered as a good fuel. Crude palm oil production is reaching 48.99 million metric tonnes per year globally in 2011 and Southeast Asia is the main contributor, with Indonesia accounting for 48.79%, Malaysia 36.75%, and Thailand 2.96%. Oil palm is a multi-purpose plantation and it is also an intensive producer of biomass. EFB has low lignin content and high fiber and cellulose content, which can be used as fuel for biomass power plants.
In order to improve the combustion efficiency, it is necessary to use the cutting machine and other equipment to treat the empty fruit string first to form biomass particles. In order to save fuel transportation costs, power plants are best built in fuel rich areas.
According to the customer's fuel characteristics, ZBG can customize biomass boilers, such as burning animal fur, organic waste liquid of paper making plant, wood, palm shell, rice husk, sunflower shell, fabric waste boiler and so on.
There are two types of EFB power plant boiler, EFB corner tube power plant boiler and EFB circulating fluidized bed power plant boiler.
DHL biomass corner tube boiler:
Corner tube and self load bearing structure to solve the problems of expansion and support;
Full welding membrane water wall structure, good sealing, small heat loss;
The box type structure shortens the installation period and increases the sealing performance of the tail flue;
A flag type heating surface is arranged in front of the high temperature superheater, so that the superheater can stably operate;
Adopt cross beam type grate, the operation resistance is small, the failure rate is low;

Biomass circulating fluidized bed boiler:
Furnace and secondary air: make combustible materials burn out in the furnace;
Superheater: avoid high temperature superheater ash deposition, reduce the high temperature corrosion.;
Low pressure operation, low flow speed of flue gas, hardly abrasive heating surface, low frequency of maintenance;
Annual operating time longer than 8000 hours.
