The Safety Precautions in Handling of Autoclave
Industrial autoclaves are widely used in aerated concrete block, concrete pipe pile, high curing gypsum and other building materials, as well as rubber products, wood drying, preservative treatment and other production projects that require pressure steam curing. For all autoclave uses, observe these precautions:
1. Do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended pressures and temperatures.
2. Autoclaves should be inspected regularly. Inspection, service, and repair records should be available when requested. Annual inspection are recommended. This may be done by the manufacturer or by the dealer you bought the autoclave from or by technical personnel in the lab.
3. Do not use an autoclave unless you have received specific operations instructions or are working under the direct supervision of an experiences autoclave worker.
4. Read and follow the recommendations made by the manufacturer in the owner’s manual.
5. Firmly lock autoclave doors prior to starting the run to prevent sudden release of high-pressure steam.
6.To avoid temperature loss and corrosion, after autoclave installation is completed, its outside wall must use thermal insulation materials for heat insulation.
