Industry Waste Heat Steam Boiler Application Consideration

Facing with the great energy challenge, a number of countries have implemented major energy conservation technologies including the recovery of waste heat, in an effort to reduce energy input costs as well as reducing the intensity of carbon dioxide emissions. Waste heat recovery boilers are increasingly appeared in industries and some considerations should be paid attention.
Application considerations of waste heat boiler:
- Need relatively clean and contamination free source of waste heat (gas or liquid source). Avoid heavy particulate loading and/or presence of condensable vapors in waste heat stream.
- Continuous or predictable flow for the waste heat source
- Relatively moderate waste heat stream temperature (at least 150°C, but >325°C is preferred) at constant or predictable value
- Cannot find or justify use of heat within the process or heating equipment itself
- Cannot find or justify alternate heat recovery methods (steam, hot water, cascading etc.) that can be used in the plant
- Try to avoid or reduce use of supplementary fuel for power generation. It can have negative effect on overall economics unless the power cost can justify it.
Application Area of waste heat recovery boiler:
- The chemical industry: three castoffs mixed burning boiler and blown gas waste heat boiler, sulfuric acid wast heat boiler, sodium dichromade rotary kiln waste heat boiler, etc.
- The building materials industry: waste heat boiler of cement kiln, glass kiln waste heat boiler, brick and tile industry waste heat boiler, etc.
- Non-ferrous metallurgy industry: carbon kiln waste heat boilers, submerged arc furnace industry waste heat boiler, calcium carbide furnace waste heat boiler, lead smelting waste heat boiler, copper smelting waste heat boiler, zinc smelting waste heat boiler, fuming furnace waste heat boiler, etc.
- The iron and steel industry: sintering machine and cooling machine waste heat boiler, waste heat boiler of dry quenching, coking waste heat boiler, soaking furnace waste heat boiler, converter gas waste heat boiler, etc.
- Other industries: waste heat boiler of hazardous waste, high-concentration waste liquid and medical waste incineration waste heat boiler, etc.
