Disadvantages of CFB Boilers
While having many advantages, circulating fluidized bed boilers also have some shortcomings or problems, as follows:
1. The resistance of the smoke-air system is relatively high, and the power consumption of the fan is large. This is because the air distribution plate and bed of the air supply system are much larger than the air supply resistance of the pulverized coal furnace and the chain furnace, and the resistance of the gas-solid separator is increased in the flue gas system.
2. The abrasion of the heating surface is more serious, which may become an important reason affecting the long-term continuous operation of the boiler. This is because the dust concentration in the flue gas is very high, which may cause serious wear on the water wall of the furnace and the gas-solid separator. If the separator is not efficient or operates abnormally, it will also cause serious wear on the convective heating surface.
3. Higher requirements for auxiliary equipment. Some auxiliary equipment, such as slag coolers or high-pressure fans, may have a serious impact on performance or operation problems.
