Explosion-proof Doors For Oil Or Gas Fuel Boiler
During the ignition or operation of oil fired boiler or gas fuel boiler, the furnace and trailing smoke tubes would explode because of improper operation, such as incompletely cleaning the furnace before ignition, leakage in the nozzle, or insufficient combustion, not promptly cut off the burning flame, etc.. Besides, the secondary burning is damage to the furnace walls, chimneys and other components of boilers. The explosion-proof doors are used for unusual gas emissions to relief pressure and prevent explosion accident, which is one of the safety accessories for oil&gas fired boilers.
Explosion-proof doors types
There are two general explosion-proof doors, overturn type explosion-proof door and blasting membrane type explosion-proof door. The overturn type explosion-proof door, also called swing proof doors, is generally installed on the furnace wall. According to the installation position, it includes is inclined and vertical types. It is composed of a door frame and door cover that made with iron and made into a round or square. The door cover is coated with a refractory concrete, its thickness according to the limit pressure value, to determine by calculation or test. When the gas explosion chamber or the flue, the door cover is automatically opened to release the pressure around the shaft, then shut itself down when the pressure is lower than designed value. The blasting membrane type explosion-proof door is generally made of asbestos, aluminium and stainless steel sheet. When the explosion occurred in the furnace or flue gas generated, the shock wave pressure and the blasting membrane will be damaged to release pressure. The blasting film type explosion-proof door can only work one time, and it will not automatically reset. We must open the clamping device to reset the blasting membrane to carry on the operation of boiler.
Requirements when use explosion-proof doors
1.Oil or gas fired steam boilers must be installed explosion-proof doors. Explosion-proof doors generally be arranged in the side of the furnace wall or top of flue outlet tube.
2.Installation and use of explosion-proof door should not endanger the safety of person.
3.Regular maintenance to prevent being rusted is needed.
4.Inflammable and explosive materials should not be placed near explosion-proof doors.
5.The number and area of explosion-proof doors, should be set by calculating reasonably.
6.Seal-ability of explosion-proof doors should be guaranteed.
