How to reduce coal content in CFB boiler slag

CFB boiler is more and more popular for its advantages of power saving, fuel saving, and high efficiency. If we take some proper measures to reduce the coal content in slag, the efficiency of the circulating fluidized bed boiler will be higher. But how we can achieve it? The tips are as follows:

1.Manage the coal particle size properly.

For example, many fuels are available for 75 ton CFB boiler, but the coal particle size is related to the coal content in slag of it. The best size of coal particle is no more than 13mm. The coal content in slag is ideal when only 70 to 80 percent of the coal is in the size of 5mm to 13mm.

2.Manage the bed temperature properly.

The bed temperature should be set according to the stability of combustion and the economy and safety of operation. The temperature of the coke from cyclone separator is higher than 800. If the bed temperature is too low, the coke could not be burned fully, then the coal content in slag is high.

3. Manage the first, second air layout properly.

The first air should be set according to bed temperature, wear of heating surface, economy. The second air should be set according to bed temperature, excessive oxygen content. The proper air set guarantee the high efficient combustion, low pollution discharge, and the safety of boiler.

4. Manage bed pressure properly.

The bed pressure affects the coal content in slag seriously. The pressure should be higher when the coal burning in the combustion room, so the coal could be fully burned. At the same time, the first air should be sufficient.
