 What Will Affect CFB Hot Water Boiler Desulfurization Efficiency

Circulating fluidized bed hot water boiler introduces CFBC technology that largely improves coal fuel combustion efficiency and environmental protection. During the boiler operating, desulfurization is an important measure, then what will affect the desulfurization efficiency of CFB hot water boiler?

1. Bed temperature:

The CFB hot water boiler bed temperature has a close relation to its thermal efficiency and combustion stability. When the temperature is below 800℃, the desulfurizer has less sorbent pore, small aperture, low speed, and SO2 release speed will slow down, thus the desulfurization effect is poor; when the temperature is above 950 ℃, internal portion of pore structure of CaO will be partly sintered and decreased, reducing the speed of reaction of SO2 with CaO, finally leads to a decrease in efficiency.

2.Characteristics of coal fuels

The circulating fluidized-bed boiler desulphurization efficiency depends directly on the level of sulphur in coal. In General, the higher of sulphur content in heating coal-fired, the higher the desulfurization efficiency will be. But this does not mean that concentrations of SO2 emission is low. When burning high-sulfur coal the desulfurization efficiency can achieve even higher 90%, but the SO2 emissions still cannot meet the requirements of national emission standards.

3.Desulfurizer:

The smaller the desulfurizer is, the better the effect of desulfurization in furnaces will be. As the limestone particle size reduction can increase its surface area, thereby enhancing the reaction area. But this does not mean we should choose desulfurizer as small as possible, the best particle size distribution is related to boiler design parameters, usually 0~2mm is within the scope of reasonable, and an average is of 100~200um.
