Biomass Fuel For Industrial Boilers
Industrial biomass fuel boilers are more and more popular in recent years with the development of society and the concerns on environment. Biomass fuel, as a clear and cheap fuel, is becoming a preferable energy for industries.
Features of biomass fuel
1. Burn smokeless, odorless, clean and green. The sulfur content, ash content, nitrogen content are much more lower than the coal, oil and other fuel
2. The cost is far less than oil and other energy, high calorific value and low cost
3. Shaped biomass fuel, high density, convenient to storage, transport and continuous use
4. High volatile, high carbon activity, combustion efficiency is more than 98%
5. Wide applicability, widely used in industrial and agricultural production, power generation, heating and many cases
Biomass fuel boiler problem
When biomass pellet boiler complete combustion, the furnace temperature is up to 800-1000 degrees or even higher. During this process, the water and other volatile in biomass particles were carbonized at a high temperature rapid combustion, then carbon monoxide and other combustible hydrogen compounds and nitrogen oxides react with oxygen, which will generate black smoke. Biomass boiler generates black smoke for many reasons:
1.biomass pellet fuel quality is poor, containing impurities
2. boiler feed too fast, inadequate combustion
3. not cleaned ashes
4. smoke tube blockage
5. chimney installation unreasonable, large flue resistance
Biomass fuel, such as wood pellet, bagasse, rice husk, cotton husk, palm shell are available for many industrial boilers, which can save a lot for industries.
