Waste Heat Boiler Room Layout in Metallurgical Plant
Large amounts of waste heat will be produced in the metallurgical plant process, like the waste heat of melting rotary furnace flue gas. To collect the dust in high temperature flue gas, recycle noble metals, reduce dust content in flue gas, as well ensure the manufacture process smooth, the waste heat boiler in metallurgical plant was developed in early 1900s. Until now, the smelting waste heat boiler technology has been much perfected.
How to arrange waste heat boiler room in metallurgical plant
1. The waste heat boiler should be close to metallurgical furnace as near as possible. This can shorten the smoke flue length before the boiler and the accessories arrangement should base on the actual circumstances of the metallurgical plant.
2. In general a waste heat recovery boiler is directly connected to the main furnace, and a gate whether to set up in the connected flue considers the metallurgical furnace operation regulation. Besides, the boiler can also take a bypass flue arrangement.
3. A smelting rotary waste heat boiler should adopt the semi-open layout, but it needs to set up the blast furnace operating room, light type roof top and takes the necessary freeze and wind proofing, and other measures.
4. When the heat recovery boiler and evaporative cooling adopt combination unit, or the boiler takes semi-opening unassembled layout, then the operating room generally is centralized layout with evaporative cooling device. And its soft water, deoxygen, feed water and other systems should also consider together with that device.
