Why Gas Or Oil Fired Boiler Should Be Galvanized
Furnaces of boiler is subjected to high temperature, and then transfer heat and produce hot water or steam indirectly. The furnaces working in a harsh condition with large output, the quality of it determines the entire serving life and efficiency of industrial boilers. So materials of greater resistance corrosion, good tensile strength, and good thermal conductivity are preferred by customers. Besides, some gas or oil fuel boiler users prefer to galvanize for furnace, which have following advantages:
Extend serving life
The serving life of boiler could be extended by being galvanized. Zinc is is a very reactive metal, and it is extremely easily oxidized. But compared to iron oxide that is in condition of loose powder, zinc oxide is in shape of a dense surface layer and further prevents the zinc inside the zinc oxide layer from being oxidized. When the galvanized steel surface is damaged and the iron inside the surface is exposed, zinc will be oxidized before iron and then protect iron from being oxidized. In this way, the serving life of galvanized boilers is extended.
Protect water quality
Galvanizing for boiler could effectively prevent the boiler from producing yellow water and so protect water quality. Pressure test would be conducted for boiler to exam welding quality of it before selling. During this process, the residual moisture will cause a slight oxidation into furnace. Then some yellow water will be produced. For hot water boilers, the quality of hot water is very important for production, yellow water will affect and even ruin the production and make a waste for industry.
Save cost
Galvanizing for boiler could effectively prevent corrosion of furnace and decrease failure rate of boiler, so the maintain fee will be decreased. Besides, a higher heat transfer rate will save fuel when the heat needed is determined. So some gas or oil fuel boiler users prefer to galvanize for furnace.
